Mission
The American Constitution Society (ACS) believes that law should be a force to improve the lives of all people. ACS works for positive change by shaping debate on vitally important legal and constitutional issues through development and promotion of high-impact ideas to opinion leaders and the media; by building networks of lawyers, law students, judges and policymakers dedicated to those ideas; and by countering the activist conservative legal movement that has sought to erode our enduring constitutional values. ACS's mission is to provide a platform for students to collectively pursue a shared interest in politics and constitutional law.

Mission
We are an organization that seeks to understand the United Nations in a fun and engaging way. Founded in 1945 after World War II, the UN has been the major international and intergovernmental organization responsible for the maintenance of peace, security, respect for human rights, and the promotion of development across all aspects of global society for the past 75+ years. At Model United Nations, we imitate the work of the UN and aim to gain a deeper understanding of the work they do in the world. We do not claim that the UN is perfect, but one of our main tasks at MUN is to analyze the work that the UN does and try to simulate innovative ways such a large organization could become even more effective. At MUN we pride ourselves in finding new and exciting things to do in our meetings. We have debates about global issues, discuss geopolitical news, break down headlines for the week, and simulate debates, complete with parliamentary procedure and formal resolution-writing. We also have evenings when we eat pizza, play games, compete in quizzes, and just have a good time getting to know one another. The one thing that truly keeps us going is the family spirit that we keep, for we're just a group of students learning about the world together and hoping to expand our friendships. We are not just an organization that meets once a week on Monday evenings. Our most exciting events are the conferences that we organize for middle and high school students in Norman. We also attend conferences in other states. Our most anticipated event of the year is the annual Midwest MUN Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. We typically participate in debates and mock crisis-solving for three days with delegates from other universities. It's an amazing opportunity, a perfect way to meet new people, a chance to learn a lot about the UN and the work they do, and improve your own debate skills and parliamentary procedure. The conference takes place in the Spring semester.

Mission
The Students for Justice in Palestine chapter at The University of Oklahoma believes that the land of
Palestine belongs to Palestinians, from the river to the sea. We believe that Palestinians have a right to
self-determination, government autonomy, and sovereignty on their land. SJP supports Land Back and
Right of Return movements for Palestinians.
Although the United States government has passed bills conflating anti-Zionism with anti-Judaism,
SJP firmly believes that Zionism is wholly distinct from Judaism. The Zionist project is a settler colonial one
that necessitates the murder of Palestinians along with the occupation and theft of their land. Judaism is a
millennia-old religion, practiced alongside other religions for centuries whose values inherently contradict
violent repression and do not call for genocidal campaigns.
SJP rejects the notion that this is a religious conflict and condemns any instance of anti-Muslim and
anti-Jewish sentiment. We also denounce any form of racism and hate crimes against Arab people including
Palestinians on our campus and across the world. Our goal is to build solidarity with the Palestinian
cause through education and advocacy. It's crucial to realize that our institutions are complicit in genocide
primarily through their connections with defense contractors and partnership with Zionist institutions. It is our
responsibility to actively stand up against oppression, thus we call for an end to the University of Oklahoma's
support of genocide.
We call for the end to the occupation, genocide, and apartheid that has been forced on Palestinians since
1948. This means the end of the siege on Gaza, the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, and the apartheid
system in the West Bank and Jerusalem, all imposed by the settler colonial state of Israel. We support a
complete and united Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital and know that justice and liberation
for the Palestinian people is the prerequisite for peace. Our mission is incomplete without total Palestinian
liberation, from the River to the Sea.
