We represent OU at quiz bowl tournaments across the U.S. Quiz bowl is a trivia event catered to academic subjects including literature, chemistry, physics, biology, fine arts, history, classical music, anthropology, economics, and many others. Please download the README file below for our GroupMe link. Weekly practices take place on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:30. Everyone is free to join, no tryouts are required.

We focus on connecting and advocating for all the students in OU's Advanced Radar Research Center in several ways: by connecting the students with the ARRC faculty and ensuring their voice is heard, by informing graduate student's of their responsibilities and the expectations they should have in their advisor, by equipping students, both graduate and undergraduate, with the resources to navigate college, by promoting a welcoming environment to those less represented in the ARRC and to make sure international students have an enriching experience, by promoting the ARRC, and by hosting student social events! Since 1952, Air Force ROTC Detachment 675 has been training high-quality future Air Force leaders. Some of the best and brightest University of Oklahoma (OU) students have completed the Air Force ROTC program while earning their undergraduate degree, allowing them to commission as officers in the United States Air Force after graduation. These graduates have served their country well as pilots, Combat Systems Officers (CSOs), Air Battle Managers (ABMs), engineers, doctors, nurses, weather officers, communications officers, acquisition managers, language specialists, etc. Today, this tradition continues on at the University of Oklahoma. The Alpha Sigma Delta Radio Society is an on-campus Amateur Radio club established in the 1920s with the goal of promoting and supporting Amateur Radio communications at the University of Oklahoma. While not affiliated with a particular school, our base station resides within the National Weather Center. Throughout the year, we participate in multiple nationwide contests and support the community in volunteer events.

AFSP is the nation's largest researcher and education provider for suicide awareness and prevention strategies. Our RSO intends to bring awareness to OU through Campus Walks and social opportunities. Many people first learn about the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) lifesaving work through our walks. Campus Walks launched in 2010, and they sparked a grassroots movement on colleges campuses across the country that continues to gain momentum each year. Depression, bipolar, anxiety disorder, and other mental health conditions will affect 1 in 4 of us during our lives, and yet too often these illnesses go untreated. In the United States alone someone attempts suicide every minute. Together we can bring mental health conditions like depression and anxiety out of the darkness and put a stop to this loss of life.

Waterfowl conservation is facing important challenges as wetlands and other habitats are being degraded and destroyed across the continent. Ducks Unlimited has a vision to reverse this trend. DU will achieve our vision through diverse public and private partnerships to address the full range of factors that continue to erode waterfowl habitat across North America.



Ducks Unlimited is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization. Its members are conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts who live primarily throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

DU volunteers host more than 4,000 grassroots fundraising events annually, such as member and sponsor banquets, shooting and fishing tournaments, and golf outings. Event dollars represent some of DU's most important sources of revenue. Since event dollars are typically unrestricted, DU is able to spend these funds in our highest priority areas and use them to leverage additional funds from other sources.

Engineers Serving Others at the University of Oklahoma is a student organization which utilizes the unique skill-sets of all engineering disciplines to fulfill the needs of nonprofit organizations in the Norman community and surrounding areas. We specialize in providing tangible solutions to the technical and structural obstacles faced by our nonprofit partners. We work with these partners to identify their needs, strategize our ability to fulfill those needs, and implement effective solutions.

Our organization offers multiple levels of involvement and accepts every discipline. Any new member has the option to maintain a more relaxed level of involvement, or to engage in more rigorous and longer term projects.

For those without much free time, we host monthly general meetings and on-site volunteering events; we typically complete two hours of volunteer work or the equivalent thereof at each event. For members who seek a larger commitment, we organize project teams which work closely with our nonprofit partners to overcome the obstacles for which they may lack the resources to overcome on their own. Project groups may last anywhere from one to three semesters and range from database programming to manual construction.

Membership in Sigma Tau Delta is by invitation, extended through a local chapter on behalf of the international organization. OU students who qualify for membership must apply through our chapter. Once a student contacts our chapter, the Advisor will check the qualifications and recommend that student for membership. Candidates for undergraduate membership must have completed at least two college courses in ENGL beyond ENGL 1113/1213 Comp I and II. The candidate must have a minimum of a B (3.00) in English coursework and in general scholarship (Combined GPA), and must have completed at least three semesters of college coursework. Student membership is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at a college or university with a Sigma Tau Delta chapter who have the requisite academic background, whether or not they are majoring or minoring in English, and to graduate students currently enrolled in a graduate program in English or a related field at a college or university with a Sigma Tau Delta chapter.

Students who do not currently meet these membership requirements but would like to be involved in the chapter's events, meetings, and community may participate as a member of The English Club, which is open to ANY current OU student. Any English Club member who later becomes eligible for membership in Sigma Tau Delta may apply for membership with the chapter at the time of eligibility.

This student organization provides members with opportunities to explore, learn about, and connect with the different applications of entomology, the study of insects. These applications include medical, forensic, research, public health, and public media, to name a few. We have specialists and professionals in some of these fields come to give presentations on information relating to these fields, movie nights, current article discussions, and even an informative ‘Bug Blog’ on social media where students get the opportunity to learn how to educate the public on general factoids on the insect selected but also the opportunity to create infographics that provide health-related topics (vector Borne Diseases, Prevention Methods, etc.). The Game Developer's Association (GDA) is a collaborative community dedicated to educating Sooners in all aspects of game development—engineering, design, narrative, sound, and visual arts—while helping students build the skills, experience, and creative confidence to design and create video games.
At our general body meetings, we break down games from multiple angles—design, engineering, sound, visual art, and narrative—to understand how great games are built from the inside out.
We also host game jams that give members the chance to experiment, collaborate, and transform bold ideas into playable projects, fostering creativity, technical skill, and hands-on experience in a high-energy, supportive environment.
We’re introducing workshops that blend presentations, discussions, and hands-on exercises, giving students opportunities to learn and experiment with game development. Recently, we launched Pixels & Pens, our narrative-focused series where the narrative committee leads discussions, case studies, creative writing sessions, and analyses of storytelling in games.
