OU Rocket Team Club is an interdisciplinary academic team in which students design, build, and launch high powered rockets. The team trains and certifies members to build rockets, competes nationally in various events, and takes on experimental independent projects.

We are OU's AIAA Design, Build, Fly Competition team. We provide students the opportunity to learn and develop skills relevant to aerospace engineering. The team’s goal is to design, construct, and fly an unmanned aircraft at AIAA's annual competition.

Founded in 2013, Sooner Competitive Robotics is the largest robotics organization and one of the largest competitive teams at the University of Oklahoma. We compete in robotics competitions across the nation encompassing a variety of unique challenges. The mission of Sooner Competitive Robotics is to represent the University of Oklahoma Gallogly College of Engineering by winning robotics competitions.

Mission
The OU Flying Sooners represent the University of Oklahoma in regional and national competitions hosted by the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA). At the competitions, we compete in both flying and ground events against other top aviation schools around the nation. Our team consists of dedicated students pursuing careers as pilots, airport managers, and air traffic controllers with the goal of enhancing aviation interest and knowledge.

Currently, the team meets four times a week to practice ground and flying events. Outside of flying, the team has given back to the OU community, leading Max Westheimer Airport’s annual FOD Walk as well as volunteering at OU’s Annual Community Service Day, “The Big Event. ” As a team we are thankful for all the opportunities we have been granted and we always look for new ways to keep learning.
