Since the establishment in 1888, Delta Delta Delta has been an organization built upon friendship, strengthening womanly character, broadening intellectual life, and developing skills of unselfish leadership. In 1910, the Theta Gamma chapter was established at the University of Oklahoma. In the last 115 years, our members have lived out the purpose of Tri Delta through their academic success, dedication to serving others, and campus involvement.

Through our partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which began in 1999, The Theta Gamma Chapter has proudly raised over $1 million, with continued dedication and efforts. Our chapter is defined by a longstanding commitment to service, demonstrated through consistent volunteerism at both the individual and chapter wide levels. We maintain a consistent record of academic excellence and prestigious leadership displayed across many areas of campus. In 1915, thirteen women formed a local sorority that they named Phi Chi. By November 1916, these women petitioned Delta Gamma for a charter. The Alpha Iota chapter of Delta Gamma was then installed on June 3rd and 4th, 1918, becoming the sixth sorority on the University of Oklahoma campus. Since Alpha Iota’s installation, we have continued to serve our university, community and Foundation. Delta Sigma Theta was founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University in Washington D.C. These students wanted to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence and to provide assistance to persons in need. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement.

The Kappa Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 15, 1973 on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Prompted by the need of leadership and excellence, nine dedicated women sought to uphold the vision of the original twenty-two. They understood they were of the elite and that the concerns of the community were theirs to shoulder. Thus began another great chapter, Kappa Alpha, in the history of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!

Delta Tau Delta was founded nationally in 1856 at Bethany College. Locally, the Delta Alpha Chapter has been on the University of Oklahoma Campus since 1922. Delta Upsilon was founded in 1834 at Williams College and has been on campus at the University of Oklahoma since 1927. Delta Upsilon is the only non-secret fraternity and is non-hazing. Delta Upsilon is built upon the 4 founding principles which are: The Advancement of Justice, The Promotion of Friendship, The Advancement of Justice, and the Diffusion of Liberal Culture. Iota Gamma (formerly the Society of Native American Gentlemen) is a Native American fraternity that was founded at the University of Oklahoma on October 22, 2004. The founding motives behind the fraternity was to ensure that a support system was put in place to help Native American men graduate with their respected degrees. Our Founders created a foundation of standards for American Indian men to achieve success. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. was founded January 5th, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University, by 10 prestigious men who risked it all to provide a brotherhood and a bond amongst members that would last a lifetime. Kappa Alpha Psi is the 2nd oldest existing Collegiate Historically Black Greek Letter Fraternity and the 1st intercollegiate fraternity incorporated as a national body. The Zeta Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity was charted at The University of Oklahoma in April of 1973. The organization prioritizes service, community involvement, scholarship, and career preparation. The chapter is committed to excellence in all that they do, inspired by their motto; Achievement in every field of human endeavor. Kappa Alpha Psi has a predominantly African-American membership but has never limited membership based on color, creed, or national origin. The Constitution of Kappa Alpha Psi is predicated upon, and dedicated to, the principles of achievement through a truly democratic Fraternity.

The Alpha Omicron chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta was founded on the University of Oklahoma's campus over 100 years ago in 1909. We exist to offer an encouraging and nurturing environment that provides women the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential during their undergraduate years at the University of Oklahoma. We are a chapter full of genuine, driven, and compassionate women aiming to achieve our highest aspirations and impact people's lives through a commitment to the "widest influence for good," "attainment of the highest scholarship," and a "moral code of love." Bettie Locke was among the first women to enroll at Indiana Asbury in 1867. During her sophomore year, a member of one of the Greek-letter fraternities asked Bettie to wear their badge. When she learned, however, she would not become a member—simply a welcomed supporter of the group—she declined the opportunity. Desiring full membership in an organization offering friendship and support, Bettie hoped a Greek-letter fraternity for women might form a chapter at Asbury. However, she couldn't identify such an organization existing on any other campus. With her father's encouragement, Bettie decided to create one. From the beginning, it was her desire the organization would continue to grow, supporting coeds on multiple campuses into the future. She asked fellow student Alice Allen to work with her to make the dream come true. Their tasks included designing a badge, developing a constitution and bylaws, and identifying potential members—women of outstanding character determined to excel academically. The following autumn, Hannah Fitch and Bettie Tipton were invited to join them. Now, four in number, the women carefully completed their plans. On January 27, 1870, the first official meeting of Kappa Alpha Theta was held. And so, the first Greek-letter fraternity for women was formally established. Meeting a need, the Fraternity grew exponentially—spreading East and West, from North to South, and becoming the first fraternity for women to establish a chapter in Canada. It was an idea whose time had come.

The Xi Chapter of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. (ODPhi) proudly holds the distinction of being the first Multicultural Greek Organization established at both the University of Oklahoma and in the entire state of Oklahoma. ODPhi is a service and social fraternity committed to graduating its members—demonstrated by a 99% graduation rate—and to making a lasting impact through community service. The Xi Chapter has been recognized as a five-time National Chapter of the Year by Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc., as well as the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) Chapter of the Year in 2026, 2024, and 2023. Beyond campus, the chapter hosts the largest higher education empowerment conference in Oklahoma: the Tomás Rivera Educational Empowerment (TREE) Conference. Now in its 20th year, the TREE Conference introduces high school seniors from across the state to the opportunities higher education provides, motivating students to pursue college regardless of background. Through this initiative, the Xi Chapter has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to participating seniors, fostering access to higher education for the next generation

The Oklahoma Alpha chapter of Phi Kappa Psi was founded in 1920 and has enjoyed a rich and storied history as part of the University of Oklahoma campus community. In our over 100 year history, the Chapter has occupied two separate locations. 720 Elm Ave is the most recent location located across the street from the middle of the campus in what is known as, "North Greek." After WWII, Phi Kappa Psi was one of two fraternities that helped the University to secure bonds to raise money for the post-war, on-campus housing dormitories. Over the years, we've seen great men come and go. One of our more prominent alumni and founders, Stanley B. Catlett, was a key benefactor to the University's music program. His namesake is represented at the Catlett Music Center. Some of these great men include: Bob Coleman, Owner San Antonio Spurs, and Owen K. Garriott, NASA Astronaut. We're also very proud of our own philanthropy efforts and The Great Joy of Serving Others. Inspired by the Indy 500, our chapter created the Little 500 (aka Phi Psi 500) in the 50's.

Theta Nu Xi was the first multicultural sorority in the Southeastern United States. The Alpha Rho Chapter takes pride in being a sisterhood that embraces all womxn, crosses cultural boundaries, and is founded on the principles of social justice. Our mission statement is to promote leadership, multiculturalism, and self-improvement through academic excellence involvement in and service to the campus and community as well as being living examples of sisterhood across different races, cultures, religions, backgrounds, and lifestyles.

Mission
Founded in 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded at Howard University to establish a new organization predicated on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Our founders wanted the sorority to reach college women in all parts of the country who were community-conscience and desired to follow the founding principles of the organization. Since then, women with diverse backgrounds have joined our organization to further promote Zeta’s ideals and continue the legacy of our founders.
