OU Bass Fishing Club

  • About Us

The OU Bass Fishing Club has been representing the University of Oklahoma on the water since 2006. We're a student-run organization open to any full-time OU student — no tryouts, no experience required. Whether you're a seasoned tournament angler or picking up a rod for the first time, you have a place here.

We compete at the state and national level, practice locally on Lake Thunderbird, and take pride in building a tight-knit community around a sport we love. Past highlights include back-to-back Bassmaster College Classic championships in 2013 and 2014 and top finishes in the FLW National Tournament.

  • Tournament Information

Our primary trail is the Oklahoma College Bass Championship (OCBC), run through the Oklahoma Bass Nation and the Association of Collegiate Anglers. We fish some of Oklahoma's best bass lakes — Fort Gibson, Lake Tenkiller, Lake Texoma, and Grand Lake — competing against programs like Oklahoma State, Murray State College, Northeastern State, East Central, and Southeastern Oklahoma State. The state circuit feeds into national events including the Bassmaster College Series and ACA national championships.

  • Support the Club

Competitive fishing isn't cheap — entry fees, fuel, lodging, and gear add up fast. Our club is self-funded, and outside support goes directly toward keeping Sooner anglers on the water.

Sponsor the club — businesses and industry partners will have visibility on our boats, apparel, and social media. Reach out through the Contact page to discuss partnership opportunities.

Check out the Merch — all purchases go fully towards helping cover a tank of gas, a tournament entry, or a night of lodging for a competing team.

  • How to Join / Memebership
