About Us
Project Sunshine is a student-led chapter of a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by Joe Weilgus to bring joy and emotional support to children facing medical challenges. Its purpose is to provide free programs and services that promote play, education, and connection in pediatric healthcare settings. Our goal is to carry out this mission by delivering creative, play-based activities to pediatric patients, spreading joy and connection while building a compassionate volunteer community.
